• Contract Utility Services Limited has recently been appointed by Morrison Utility Services as a subcontractor to work with them on the E-ON Central Networks Contract. Contract Utility Services will be providing skilled operational, supervisory, and management services to assist Morrison and E-ON in the undertaking of upgrades and maintenance of the power network in the midlands region. This is a continuation of the excellent working relationship previously established when similar services were provided during the Anglian Water AMP4 Contract that was carried out between September 2008 and March 2010.

• The Annual Branch Golf Day was held in June at the Marriott Sprowston Manor near Norwich.

• Our Annual Dinner was hosted in Peterborough but we aim to move this around the region year-on-year. The Eastern Branch is a great host to a number of fantastic networking events for both senior and young members of the branch.

• The Eastern Branch is fortunate to have an active Young Persons Network who organise and run a number of events in the region including technical paper evenings, educational days, and a paper competition with a significant cash first prize.

The Pipeline Industries Guild

The Eastern Branch - Contract Utility Services Limited - is the newest of the branches having only been formed in 2007. The Branch covers East Anglia and parts
of the East Midlands. The Branch's
member base is centered mainly on
the water industry.

Activities within the branch include technical evenings and site visits which tend to be water industry related topics but are currently moving into topics from the gas
and electricity industries. The programme
of events is spread across the Eastern Branch region with many technical paper evening being hosted in Peterborough.
